well, my first at uni has just about officially come to an end, with the results of this sem to be released next week. its been quite an experience i must say. though not as bad as i thought, yet not as good at the same time.

its not as bad in the sense that i thought i would have struggled a lot more academically, yet i think i coped alright.
it wasnt as good however 'cause i thought i would be having a lot more fun. yeah, sure it was great hanging out with friends like ims and adrian, and later on a bit with tengku. but i just had the expectation that uni'll be this big huge social fling thing ala my trinity year. as it turned out meeting people was piss hard, and really awkward if you didnt really mingle properly. its just that socializing was a bit difficult 'cause everyone's always rushing off to other classes after a class, so you dont get to mingle after a class, and during the class people are busy doing work, so thats out too.

anyway, i'm not gonna say its impossible to meet new friends, 'cause i did meet and get to know quite a few people. mainly from tutorials though. lectures are a bit too big to sit next to the same person enough to get to know them. but still, having said that, i did meet these two chics in one of my lectures and chatted with them a fair bit a few times. so not that its impossible, just really difficult.

owell, i'm not feeling too bummed out or whatever, just a little disappointed in some sense. but i decided to take the initiative to 'enhance' my uni experience, so i signed up to be a host programme leader and welcome centre volunteer. essentially its to be an OGL, and the second one's pretty self explanatory. i've already met quite a few people from the interviews so far, so hopefully i'll get to know them better and all next year when all these activities start.

woot! i'm going back to sgp on monday! cant wait to meet up with everyone back there man. the only bad thing about me going back is that jia isnt, which just really sucks so much. i was hoping she was gonna be going back too. 'cause of my fuck face ssg last year i didnt get to send her off when she flew off, and this year midyear i didnt go back so i missed her again, now she's the one that isnt going back. blearghhh... i miss that girl to bits, hope i see her soon.

yes, i will get down to it in 2 weeks when my exams end.
yes, i have a paper on monday and i'm gonna die so i'm off to continue studying.
